"The Calm Before The Storm" is a classic-style book that includes works from James Baldwin, Maya Angelou, Zora Neale Hurston and Gwendolyn Brooks. Each page is carefully crafted and includes classically set typography, accompanied with typographic illustrations throughout. Type is used for more than just paragraphs, as it is used to form shapes, patterns and compelling graphics.
Made with stamps and ink, the typographic illustration on the cover is printed on vellum and made into a book sleeve.
